Thank you for the report, much appreciated! ![]()
Too expensive unfortunately. And not sure itâs UPNP, I think itâs only Rooon . Will not stream from my Melco.
Upnp was added in the latest software update.
What will that mean for a user? RAAT vs UPnP.
Second had they pop up (but not too often), especially in NL.
Itâs also UPNP now.
(just saying
)
I find the placement of Burndy related to the DIN output very strange on NSS333.
Anyone know what Naim say about Burndy being close to signal cables? I can either put the lumina in between them or next to it but then it will touch it instead. Are there any interfering fields coming from a Burndy?
I donât know as i only use roon, but now they have a choice.
That is really strange. On nds / nd555 Burndy and DIN socket are not so close. Cable should not touch. Are you able to let it hang free between them?
Yes but it feels wrong with to thing burndys on each side of it. But maybe itâs not a problem. Only DC in Burndy right?
As long as it not touching I think itâs ok. If you can get it 0,5 to 1 cm away I would not be afraid.
Indeed, it would replace your Melco.
Optimised for balanced? ![]()
Same with the location of the sockets to fit in the Fraim ![]()
. With small legs it has a good solution.
Have you tried this Radio station on NSS333,
higher quality than Qobuz ?
I listen to it on a Linn DS right now, sounding rather good.
Yes I do ![]()
Mainly Jazz Groove mix 1 and 2 and this channel and Naim Jazz. I prefer jazz Groove since I enjoy jazz without singers the most and find lots and lots of new artists that way ![]()
Which DS do you use?
Great !
high bitrate on Mother Earth Radio
9.2 Mbps
I use a Majik DS
I loved my NDS and having the opportunity to use it with 2 x555 loved it even more. That said I still sold it and have no regrets versus the ND555.
Like Dan I got a deal on a used one but before you dismiss the ND555 I would recommend having a listen for your self.
I was always of the opinion the ND555 is better but at the RRP is doesnât represent value - I still stand by this but if you can get the ND555 at the right price itâs well worth it.
A lot will happen in 7 years so fwiw enjoy the now moment - 7 years will fly by - it has for me as I reach the year I retire !
I havenât dismissed the Nd555. But if I had the cash now, i would not buy it until knowing how it will evolve with the firmware gate.
Two other contenders : Linn KDS3/ Organik dac. Grimm MU1 transport.
Seen a few claiming the new Innuos 3 beats MU1.
Itâs likely the AC albeit low voltage would induce a voltage in the burndy cables. Bundies and snaics were typically not shielded. ![]()
