Isolation for turntables

The point of my previous post was that low mass is an essential part of some support designs, because high mass picks up and stores more vibrational energy. There appear to be some designs that are the opposite, such as the very thick wooden boards from isoacoustics. I’m suggesting that it might be worth investigating which of these two completely different approaches is going to work with any particular turntable.

Tried a Project groundit under my Xerxes, all the life and timing disappeared. Excellent on Fraim.

I tried Quadrasphire’s Soundstage board but it’s not good because the engine is not level. In the photo without the table it must remain aligned with the turntable and not on the slope …
