Was really sad to read about James Earl Jones passing away. What an icon in film.
Darth Vader will be missed.

Darth Vader will be missed.
Indeed.
Though he too will now become more powerful than you can possibly imagine…
A long career from Strangelove
This made me both happy and sad at the same time. What a perfect thing to say.
What a part of my childhood. Still remember us all in the playground trying to do Darth Vader impersonations.
Lovely to hear him talking about being a stutterer as a child and overcoming it: a great message for those who suffer similarly.
He owes it all to Dave Prowse and what would otherwise have been.
“Loooowk. Oim yer faaartheerrrr…”.
Of course he will always be Darth Vader.
But I did so enjoy his small but important rolls in the three Tom Clancy Movie adaptations as Admiral James Greer.
And of course the great Field of Dreams.
And we shall not forget… Mufasa!
I got to see him in his Tony Award winning performance in “Fences.” It was an odd evening. The actress who played his wife was an understudy, and she was awful. Jones spent the entire performance trying to compensate for her weaknesses.
Also got to see him reading from the works of Martin Luther King.
Didn’t know that was him too. One of my favourite films ever !
