Cobham, Duke, the brothers Brecker, Abercrombie, what’s not to enjoy.

Trying to keep count, and spot “There will never be another you” in there.

Funny, I was listening to Takin’ off just this afternoon and realized I have another album with the same title from David Sanborn.

Very nice, FR. I’ve ordered this reissue. What’s the pressing like?

It’s 3 blind mices. Mint copy from Discogs. A reissue I think because the price is low. But dead silent lp and fantastic sound.

Thanks, GZ Media is the worry. They can be a bit hit and miss (rather more the latter, in my experience), so fingers crossed…

Just listened to it. Again, an awesome find, thank you!!

I discovered that album this week end. Wonderful. But no way to buy an lp, no reissues. Prices around 900 dollars.

Someone on WAYLTI2021 thread turned me onto
Ahmad Jamal - Blue Moon

Wow It is very different to my other Ahmad Jamal albums - very aggressive.
My current goto jazz album.

My favourite are The Essence, part 1 and 2. Even more dynamic than Blue Moon. A mix of lot of tension and drama with quiet moments. Not agressive to my tastes.

I better give them a spin !

I think it was my post you saw. I recently purchased AJ’s Saturday Morning which I think is great too, however my preference over that and Blue Moon is Crystal.
