El Roi by Sultan Stevenson, was my other Edition purchase.
Some good playing and nice tunes, on this album. Fairly mainstream Jazz.

Lester’s one last great effort. Roy is obviously trying to cheer him up at a very difficult session. Gone within the year at 49.
Some nice clarinet playing. Herb’s Texas blues twang comes across well.
Roy is the first trumpet on the first track.
Hank Jones,Herb Ellis,George Duvivier,Mickey Sheen.
A fine sounding record on Qobuz but full of sadness.
Indeed. New to me. Coltrane-esque without being slavish. Loved the version of Naima.
Bill Ware. Always liked his Ellington album (Sir Duke) but he’s been off my radar for a while. This is a lively new release.
Allexa Nava hails from Peru but based in London Cycles/Circles is taken from her new record
No Language on Jazz:Refreshed hope the release it on vinyl
New one to me.
Sir Duke is hiding if it’s on Qobuz. Like Ribot. But this popped up.
Thanks.
I can’t find it either. The artist is probably Vibes, not Bill Ware.
Still music on the outer edges of Jazz in two different ways. Touch by Tortoise cannot be classed as Jazz by traditional standards, but is on a Jazz label, the quirky International Anthem.
I downloaded this today, and by chance the Postman finally delivered after taking six weeks to travel from Austria to Italy the CD: Belly of the Sun by Cassandra Wilson, I place this on the Pop end of Jazz. I love this singers voice, and some great covers on this album.
Taken from his debut as leader Sunset to Dawn, Dolores Street by Kenny Barron the record has just been reissued on Jazz historian Zev Feldman’s Time Traveller Records remastered by Matthew Lutthans at the Mastering Lab.
Kibrom Birhane - Circles taken from his excellent debut Here and There
