Kendo with K or S boards

I currently have a 52 pre-amp with K-boards. I am considering purchase of the Kendo cartridge for my LP12. Which would be the most compatible MC board to use in the 52, S or K? If the answer is S, what would be the downside of using with the K-boards as S board appear hard to find these days..

There may not be much experience with the Kendo here, but if anyone has an idea then it may well be Peter @Cymbiosis

Both S and K will work, but K is preferable just as with all Linn MCs

Now that I have the Kendo, I can confirm it is a great match with the K-boards.

With an LP12 and Nac 52,I would really recommend an
Naim Prefix K Phonostage,it’s an big upgrade for not much money, hidden inside the LP12 and can be powered directly from the Nac 52.

What do you think of the Kendo?

I considered one but went with Krystal in the end as it’s an early 90s deck.

Good to know ‘K’ boards work well with it.

Sounds great compared to my very old Karma, but I did do a major upgrade to the LP12 as I brought it up to Selekt level.

Wow, sounds like a big jump overall - glad you’re enjoying it. Is the steam still coming off your credit card?

It melted! Amps next!

This is timely for me as I’m taking delivery tomorrow of a Naim’d LP12. I have a Prefix K that arrived a couple weeks ago.

What would be preferable - a Kendo with the Prefix powered by the 52, or a Krystal with the Prefix powered by a Supercap?

The system is 52/250/SL2s.
