I can only assume Frau Schneider gave him his final ultimatum to clear the garage.

I find it sad TBH.
According to The Guardian, it was Florian’s wish as the instruments and mementos could find homes with other musicians and fans. He died in April 2020.
He did indeed fahr’n fahr’n fahr’n auf der Autobahn, albeit not very rapidly!
