Anyone used these with a olive 250 set up lp12 fronted
I’m using super 20a with a SN3 and LP12, they are absolutely fantastic speakers.
Had Petite classic and Neat Elite before them and they are monumentally better than both.
Can’t recommend them highly enough.
Assume you are looking at the ones on eBay, I was looking for C20 for a while and when I finally bit the bullet on supers those popped up

Plenty of guts, slightly harsh top end, have heard Super20As - a bit smoother, best to listen to them yourself before purchase, but I do enjoy my setup !

I couldn’t listen to the Suoer 20A, the sibilance was horrific with various amps.
Best always to listen if possible in your own environment
Can only imagine them to be super.
Haven’t heard Super 20A though.
I have Kudos X3s and no wish to change.
I think these are all special speakers done at a time of the companies youth and are well worth having.
They will be replacing sbls ,unfortunately one bass driver is playing up on them
I had C20s a good few years ago and just couldn’t get them to work well in my room. After I’d had them for a while, I realised I was avoiding listening to half my CD collection. I found they overemphasised bass and slightly harsh treble and so missed out on the all-important, to me at least, midrange. I also found them difficult to place in spite of the downward firing port.
That’s only my experience of course and others seem to have had more success with them.

That’s unfortunate I’ve had X3s for a number of years now and found them to blend in well with my room and don’t have any gripes about them.
In fact they are one of the easiest speakers I’ve ever had and no wish to change.
I suppose it’s the same old thing best to try before you buy.

I don’t think X3s had been introduced when I got my C20s. I suspect X3s would have worked better in my room, but I’d moved to PMC by the time they came out.

I had X2s for quite a long time, and they were great, but I wanted something a little larger with more extended bass, and listened to the X3 (a scaled up version of the original X2) and the Cardea C20. The C20s were better across the board than the X3. The Super 20s were better again but more expensive. I’d say the C20s were probably the sweet spot amongst the Kudos range. (Titans are another matter, of course.)
I reckon most of the explanation for different experiences with the same speaker is speaker-room interaction. I just found I couldn’t tame the bass boom with the C20s in my listening space, either by moving them or putting a bung in the bass port. The stand-mount PMC Fact3s I switched to after that were a lot better in that respect, but what does surprise me is how well the active ATC SCM40s I have now work in the same space even though they’re physically bigger than C20s and driven by effectively 250wpc. But they’re sealed boxes and that probably helps. I do use a touch of Space Optimisation on my Linn DSM but even with that switched off they’re a lot less boomy than the Kudos.

I don’t find any bass boom with the super 20a in my room. Bit paranoid as I live in an end of terrace so always cautious of bass bleed through to the neighbours.
I have them in a 15x12 room, about 7ft apart and firing down the 15ft length. One of them is in the corner about 40cm from side and rear wall and I still don’t experience any bass boom or chuffing from them.
IMHO they are absolutely outstanding speakers.
