Same here: One weekend in December 1969 I had taken my then just 2 or 3 month old first hi-fi system in to the Scout hut, where we were doing final rehearsals for a play, my system to provide the incidental music. One of the venture Scouts also took in the music, plus a few other records for entertainment during breaks from rehearsal. Two made instant and lasting impressions on me, leading to much future enjoyment. One was LZ2 - hooked firmly well before the end of that first track! (I’m not sure I describe them as the best band, because there have been other bands as good in their different ways, and my interest in LZ declined after the fourth album.
