Seriously? They couldn’t let it die. I was never attracted to Lenbrook products, but for sure now I will never buy anything they sell.
Could be a tactical purchase.
Sometimes companies or trademarks are bought not to do something with, but to prevent others from doing anything.

Or they might just turn around and sell it to a patent troll, who will use it to go after everyone using remotely-related technology with questionable lawsuits.
