Linn 119 and 150 passive loudspeakers

Just announced… I have to admit that I really liked the 360, but to be honest I am a bit disappointed about the looks of these new siblings …

I like the 119, especially in oak and black.

Only supported with Exakt or passive btw, not analogue active cards.

I like the 119 in white , along with a white LP 12 …

Mmm

I spent 4 hours yesterday listening to the 150 and it was pretty special, but then I love Linn speakers😉

Ah, so that was your Secret Squirrel demo. I think they look very nice. Interesting that they are called the 150, maybe after the not much lamented Helix LS150 of yore. Or maybe not.

Did you by chance also audition the 119 (although stand mount)? Thanks!

What was the rest of the system if you don’t mind me asking?..

Any more impressions?

Sadly no, it was what I was hoping for but we were obviously not on the same page🙄
I am hoping to hear them soon though and here in the Cabin. :crossed_fingers:t3:

Let me guess…they are relative cheap in the Linn world ?

Not sure what you mean … I was looking for a 360-ish cabinet but more affordable I guess …

Around £2.500 & £5.500 ish. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Isn’t that how ‘all’ Linn speakers look?
I personally like grills.

They look perfectly fine to me and am happy they have done away with that weird 6-way tweeter.

But I notice nothing has feet. Not the floor standers. Not the stands. I wonder if they are going for the US market.

Why is that ‘typical’ for the US market?

I have no idea why, but a lot of US made speakers provide either no feet/spikes or they do but they are not in any way adjustable.

Obviously, it is not all. If you look for an example of US made speakers with adjustable spike, you will find them. But they do appear in the minority with many simply having completely flat bases that apparently plonk directly on the floor - which also assumes your floor is flet level (unlikely).

Mybe they just pictured them without. I dunno.

The ones I saw/heard on Wednesday had spikes Crispy👍🏼

I’ve seen the 150s with spikes attached.
Usually all linn publicity shots have no spikes or cables in them

LOL!
What’s wrong with a sub tweeter, tweeter, super tweeter, hyper tweeter, etc. - especially active

Can’t wait for your impressions - thanks for sharing with us.
