Good choice to go Lingo 1 with removed filter,outperformed Lingo 2 ,3 and 4 in my system.

Lingo 1……plays all those Frankie Goes To Hollywood 12” singles.
And actually sounds good as well.

Just remember to add the cost of a service (about 100quid) to the purchase price. Honestly, I upgraded from an original 1982 RC PS to a Valhalla to Hercules and then to a Lingo 4. The differences after the Valhalla were small and I’ve got that ugly Lingo 4 box getting in the way of everything now! I’d seriously consider one of the internal two speed PS contenders (Hercules, Zeus, Revolution).

Many years ago, I went from Valhalla to (late) Lingo 1 - a big upgrade on SQ.
I heard Lingo 2 and 3 and really couldn’t hear a difference. Lingo 4 was different - small and easy to tuck away and it provided more details and less background mush.
Much more recently, I got a Radikal 1- quieter again, but the main difference was (a) much less sensitive to placement and (b) much better for tonal realism (making piano and violin sound more believable).
A Lingo 1 will probably cost £400 or less.
