I’m in Melbourne for the weekend - does anyone have any recommendations of HiFi stores I should visit?
I’m thinking FPBNss as I’ve never visited one of the concept stores, but keen to have other suggestions also.

I hope you brought your credit card with you ![]()
Yep, although given the amount that I’ve been spending on Chord cables over the past month, and the accelerating payments for our extension at home, I’m going to be careful.

Carlton Audio and Video in Carlton (walk from CBD) are very good as is Klapp Audio Visual in Malvern East ( get a tram) also Hey Now HiFi on St Kilda Road (get a tram) Ive bought a lot of gear from each of them over the years, they all have great people to deal with.
I second HeyNow Hi-Fi, Geoff is great to deal with!
I agree - I had a good chat with Geoff when I was last in Melbourne and looking for a demo of some Kudos Titan speakers (unfortunately they ended up not being available).
This trip I managed to make it out to the FPBN store (a reasonable selection - mostly Focal - they had some of the new Diva Utopias, but I didn’t listen), and a good range of Focal headphones (I was interested in the Bathys, and the MG’s were rather nice). I also got across to Carlton Audio and Video - they had a good range of components and speakers, but nothing that grabbed my fancy for a longer visit this time.
