New mu-so 2 owner here. I own a Fiio M11S with 150+ albums in DSD 1 bit on the hard drive that I’d like to play through the mu-so 2 hardwired. Can’t seem to find any way to make that happen. No output when connected from usb c to mu-so’s usb and constant buzzing when connected to the 3.5mm. Any advice?
The only line in input is the 3.5mm socket; maybe try a different interconnect?
The usb socket is for attaching hard drives or usb sticks full of suitable files, and then play via the usb input option in the Naim app.
Tried several 3.5 shielded cables, plugged the mu-su into different outlets, all came out with the same buzzing noise.
If I copy all of my music to a usb stick, where can I see the files in order to control playback? Can’t find anything in my Naim app that would allow that control. Thanks!
Is there anything to be configured about the analog output of your device? Output levels, DAC mode, balanced output, … - I mean, analogue stereo on cinch or 3.5mm should be one of the most universal connectors…
… if you have a buzz, the level it totally of, or your source provides a digital output?
PS: Not sure, if you can adjust the (expected) level of the Mu-so in the settings. For e.g. Atom/Nova that’s possible, to adjust to the expected level of the source. (From a headphone-jack on a phone to a line-level input, for example.)
Make sure the usb input is enabled, if you can’t see it listed where you choose iradio upnp etc
