Mu-so!

Set up my new Mu-so 2 in the bedroom today and have given it a few hours of listening. It obviously needs some time to run itself in, but my god - what a phenomenal piece of kit it is.

Have to admit, I thought I had a faulty speaker grille when I first unpacked it

Just to add, I originally ordered (and paid for) a Mu-so Qb 2, but was later advised that it was no longer available. Has it been officially discontinued?

As I’ve said before a number of times it is the best piece of kit Naim has produced.

It says on the product page it is no longer available so yes, officially discontinued.

Ah, thanks. Worked out well for me as I was very kindly offered the Mu-so 2 for the same price.

That’s a result!

Yeah, for sure. I really am over the moon with it too.

It is a real shame the QB2 is discontinued. I have 2 and I wouldn’t be able to fit a full size Muso in either of the spaces where the QB2s are located

Yes, that’s why I originally went for the Qb. I was lucky with regard to available space, though, because the Mu-so is a hefty beast.

the muso 2 is a fantastic piece of kit and in my eyes the best looking piece of kit naim have ever released

Totally agree on the “looks”… as the Bentley Edition Mu-so 2 is the last thing I see every night before I close my eyes.

I used to have one in my holiday condo and loved it. Of course not a match to my full NC300 series main system, but punching way above its weight considering the price.

I’ve replaced it with the KEF LSXii, but frankly I’m not convinced the KEF is 3x as good (that’s the price difference).

Would be good if Naim released a Mu-so 3 geared purely at music (ie. unlike the Hekla).

It’ll get better and better. Bloody love my Mu-so, also have it on my bedroom as my music source and tv :"soundbar’, Been exploring getting a.proper’ soundbar but having heard/tested a load of so called 5 star soundbars - I will definitely not be changing- not one of them come even slightly close to the MU-So. enjoy!

Thank you! My plan is also to use it as a soundbar; however, I have the “minor” issue of first persuading my wife to find a new home for the make-up that she keeps on the TV cabinet. Wish me luck.

I have one in the kitchen and I adore it. They discontinued it because the margins were so tight that it wasn’t worth their while producing it anymore so I was told.

Don’t think it’s discontinued. The QB2 is indeed discontinued but the Muso2 is still available. That’s my understanding anyway.

Good as it is, trees are not growing into the sky.

I googled this and got the following

“You are absolutely correct; there are strict physical and biological limits on how high a tree can grow”.
