Muso for tv

I would like to insert ‘muso’ as audio support for the Sony TV. What do you think? Or is a Sandbar better? Do you have experiences or advice to offer? Thanks Gigi

Thank you

Works for me. I have used a Muso as a ‘soundbar’ for years and years. And have a Sony TV. Clearly there is no clever linkage like you would get on a Sony soundbar but it isn’t an issue for me…

Thanks for the photo. It gives me a real idea. Isn’t managing the TV and the front difficult?

Not sure what you mean?

I meant if managing the nose and TV is easy.

Like Jamie we have used a Muso in connection with a TV for about 10 years, appreciating the great sound quality of the Muso. It is connected via an optical cable. The only minor point is having to set the Muso to ‘digital’ in the app to allow the sound signal from the TV to be used by the Muso. The plus point though is being able to use the Muso to access all of our downloaded music files etc and the internet radio. Highly recommended.

Wot he said!

You know you can change the name from ‘Digital’ to ‘TV’ in the app right?

The new muso has arc hdmi do it’s all automated and it’s sounds fantastic!

Given the deal on Mu-So ‘2’ at the moment, are we to assume a ‘3’ is on its way?

Not sure but I think the price point wasn’t working so they ended up reducing it and kept it that price.

My problems - if you have any tips… New Samsung tv and Muso gen 1 (software 2.0(0))
Trying to “pair” those. Want to use only one remote…
-Gen 1 connects by bluetooth - volume control does not work via tv
-Gen 1 connects by optical - volume control does not work via tv
-Gen 1 does not have HDMI…
Any tips where to look?

Ps. Muso QB Gen 2 - connects via bt and volume control works… Gen2 QB does not have HDMI either but Muso gen 2 has HDMI…
Edit: Sonos Roam connect via bt w/o hazzle and volume control works.

Atleast my browser does not let me to make editing… more info added.

We use a muso 2 with our TV, works perfectly via optical, no lag or sync issues, great sound of course

My problem is with gen 1… Gen 2 is better in this too

Btw - does your volume control work via tv’s remote or do you need Muso’s remote for that?

Going to give a different view of a muso 2 and TV use via hdmi.

Couldn’t get on with the sound, particularly the vocals. Too muddy and just not clear. The muso2 was connected via Wi-Fi, but about once a week, the app could not find it. Had to switch it on and off to clear. Yes, there was plenty of bass, but for me, it had to go after three years.

Replaced it with a Sonos bar and sub mini. Transformation.

Not really sure TBH, we just use the control on the muso, it works great!
