Has to be a Naim Focal dealer……its a Focal product. Wether in time they will allow Naim only dealers to stock?
Grrrr would rather spend my cash with my local dealer than Sevenoaks….
Sevenoaks always seem less knowledgeable and don’t offer the service my local dealer does….
The offering from Primare also looks worth considering.
Seems a weird marketing decision - do they want to sell them or not? There isn’t even a Focal Powered by Naim dealer in New Zealand. But the KEF XIO can be bought here.
More raw power? Hahaha 2026 and people still reading drivel like this.
The Sennheiser Ambeo Max is better than the XIO.
I’ve not heard the Hekla, but I don’t have too much doubt that the build quality, spec and sound quality, without a sub, would be better than the Ambeo Max. However, the Heckla doesn’t have hdmi pass-throughs and the size/shape makes it a different option to typical soundbars.
Not so weird Mike; Focal already have AV products and Naim don’t, and it’s a powered speaker, which very much fits the “Focal Powered by Naim” idea, so I guess that’s why it’s a Focal branded product.
Indeed, you have to see through the BS of AI but I find it a useful starting point! I guess it’s the same with humans too!
I’ll take my time but the Helka is of interest as I have the room for it!
I went to look at a large chain which carried Naim and Focal but isn’t FPBN to see if they carried it. They don’t seem to, but I did notice this.
Muso £899
Muso coloured grille £69
Muso with free coloured grille £968
Gotta go with the free coloured grill.
A bargain.
The isn’t the Focal branding, it’s the FPBN distribution, you can’t buy them from regular Focal dealers either, so the obtainability becomes somewhat limited.
Maybe they are not expecting to sell many. Then make it harder to buy, e.g. in NZ, then claim its sales met expectations !
Bloody frustrating id say.
That seems like an odd product approach. Why would you launch a product you don’t think will sell to acceptable levels?
Nait 50, once burnt etc.
I’d understand not making a huge number to avoid overstock, but not a product launch with limited channels to give a excuse for low sales. That would be a tricky one to explain to the owners.
But they are limiting the selling channels and thus some countries like NZ cant ( easily) buy them. Strange sales strategy indeed.
I don’t understand the strategy at all.
If i’m honest, I doubt there is one. I likely have given them too much credit.
One can always invent theories: do a production ramp up, get the initially interested people into your own stores during a phase of exclusivity, and once you have some field-experience, got initial SW bugs squashed, and production ramped up (possibly with better margins) you go for wider distribution. ![]()
German F&N page shows availability starting April 2026.
I could be in the market for one of these - I have a Uniti Nova + Rega P3 + DALI Rubicon 2s with an Atom and Core in my second system.
Would this be a viable alternative to my main system in the living room? I don’t mind sacrificing a bit of audiophile quality for a slick, one-box solution and multiroom the Rega in the study to the Hekla to listen to vinyl.
I can get it on a 30 day trial so nothing to lose I suppose but will the streaming and Hekla processing level out the SQ from my vinyl setup (Rega P3 RS eco with AT VM760SLC, Rega fono MM)?
Well I’ve just bought one, settling in nicely despite it being a horrible grey lifestyle product, destined to fail, not a true Naim product, etc.
