Muso QB Discontinued

Just had an email from my dealer saying the Muso QB is at end of its life

Roll on Bristol?

Yes I’ve just taken delivery of the last one held by my friendly dealer.

I have always loved the QB, got one in the kitchen

Ah that explains why there are some good deals around. Is that the same for the Muso ?

It doesn’t specify in the email, and only shows the qb

There are some good muso deals too.

Yes, that’s why I was wondering if that’s being discontinued too.

Strangely enough we were watching Celebrity Escape to the Country last night and one of the houses shown had a Nova and a couple of Musos dotted around the house.

I’m sure it will just be reborn as a Focal speaker with a Naim amp inside. For consistency.

The latest Benelux pricelist only states Mu-so QB as discontinued. But I suppose it a matter of time (and depleting stocks), before Mu-so 2 follows.

Focal powered by Naim does make sense, im surprised they didnt do that with those new fancy active speakers

They did ?

Funny that the latest Facebook post by Naim (2 days ago) is promoting Mu-so Qb 2. Still trying to finish off any last stock remaining I guess :innocent:

not really, just put a naim logo on the back…sort of did I guess

A bit more than just the logo

I ment the way its been branded with the final product

Ah yes, I see what you mean.

even though all the electronics are Naim, there’s not much of a mention. I am a fan of focal though, I have Diablo Utopia. just would have been nice to see from a marketing perspective

Just the Qb as far as I’m aware.

Hi Lindsay. Thanks for your message via Graeme about this. I rang my dealer this morning and they knew nothing about it, which made me wonder if it was a false alarm. It’s clearly not, so I’ve grabbed one from John Lewis, for collection at our local Waitrose on Saturday. We will then be a three Qb2 family.

I’m on the dealer/distributor comms list, and can confirm that Naim notified them on Tuesday;

The award-winning Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation has now reached the end of its lifecycle.

The final batch of Mu-so Qb will arrive early in the new year and once they have been allocated, there will be no further units manufactured.

This announcement had been scheduled for early in the new year but has been pulled forward due to increased demand for the Mu-so Qb in the latter part of 2024. The Mu-so will remain available throughout 2025.
