My speaker crackles in the right speaker

Hello music lovers.
I’m experiencing a strange phenomenon in my right speaker when I play track 9 featuring Wynton Kelly, “Char’s Blues”.

My speaker crackles in the right speaker in the mid-range down to the lower frequencies whenever there’s a bass solo starting on minut 03:24 into the track (see screenshot) … you can hear it clearly. It’s already a very lively and crisp recording, where you can hear that the piano is very much at the forefront of the soundstage and the bass is pulled back slightly. On the first track, “Someday My Prince Will Come”, the piano is on the left side of the soundstage, the bass on the right.

Would any of you be kind enough to check if you hear the same crackling in the right-hand speaker when playing track 9, “Char’s Blues”?
The release is supposed to be a reissue of the original recordings, as you can see in the picture

Yes same here. It is clearly an issue with the recording. I am listening to the Qobuz version and get the same crackling.

I reckon no one listens to the playback of these recordings - with a bit of work that could have been cleaned up.

There’s a couple of versions of this on Tidal. The original album doesn’t show the problem you refer to but on the reissue album, Take 1 of “Char’s Blues” shows the problem but Take 2 doesn’t. :person_shrugging:
