Compared with the NAP150x the NAP155XS has a brushed fascia, a better power supply for the preamp, and 60W per channel. Nice amp.

Yes, so the ‘NAP 150XS’ mentioned in the title of this thread does not exist.

The NAP150x is a step up in performance from the NAP150, although both of them are 50W per channel into 8 ohms.

For the record, the NAP 150X contains the following improvements over the original NAP 150:

  • a new toroidal transformer for improved regulation
  • separate transformer windings for CH1 and CH2 and preamp (the NAP150 combined CH1 and CH2’s windings)
  • an up-rated preamp power supply to improve the performance of the preamp.
