Nac 252 front panel lights will not turn off

This morning after powering up my 252 front panel lights will not turn itself off. Everything seems normal, but when using the amps remote, pressing the disp button don’t work. I changed batteries too, but problem still same. Anybody knows?

Is there a factory reset for the 252?

Resetting Programmable Settings to Factory DefaultsThis restores input assignments, auto-switching, and other custom remote programming:

  1. Put the remote handset into preamp mode (if it has multiple modes).

  2. Enter program mode: Press and hold the prog key on the remote. The volume indicator will flash, confirming you’re in program mode.

  3. While in program mode, press and hold the remote’s disp (display) key.

  4. The unit will automatically exit program mode, and all programmable settings will revert to factory defaults.

Make sure you press ‘Pre’ first. At least that’s the button on my remote.

Is the remote in pre-amp mode when pressing the disp key?

If you power everything down, wait a minute or two and then power up again, is the problem still there?

Yes i did, but still the same. Also tried the factory reset, at least I think🤔

OK, I would switch off and disconnect the sources and remove the mains plug from the Supercap, then remake the connections on the Burndy and SNAIC between 252 and Supercap. Replug the mains cable (make sure you push beyond the first resistance if you’re using a Powerline) but don’t yet connect the sources. Power up and see whether the issue has gone.

We’ve had this a few times when returning from holidays.

A second (or sometimes third) power cycle of the Supercap has always solved. Just via front button, no recabling required.
