I want to change from my present speaker cable which I bought before returning to Naim to Naim’s NAC A5. I live in Stamford, near Peterborough. Can anyone suggest a decent Naim dealer who can make the cables up properly for me, with banana plugs soldered (neatly!) at one and and the standard Naim plugs as supplied with by SN3 soldered (neatly!) at the other end.
I have recently moved here and the Naim dealer I used to use is no longer within the sort of travelling distance I can be bothered with.
If (neatly!) is your priority LucaSoundVision can do a high-quality cold weld and ship it to you:
AIRLOC a solder-free, airtight perfect fusion between the two metals of cable and plug. This ‘cold weld’ method allows the cable and plug to offer the optimum signal transfer and therefore, better sound quality. It also reduces contact resistance and ensures perfect long-term performance.
But my speakers are 1m either side of the black boxes. I’ve asked for a quote for 4m because of the “At least 3.5m rule.” Even then I’ll have a problem hiding all the spare cable. Couldn’t cope with 7m.
Thanks for the Cymbiosis recommendations. Rang up this morning and by not long after lunchtime they had lent me a set of NAC A5 cables to try. They also said that they will handle any warranty returns rather than me having to get kit to the dealer where I used to live, 250 miles away. Very helpful service. Impressed.
I don’t have any experience with Cymbiosis, but I’m sure they are great. I have had great experience with Tom Tom Audio and therefore I can highly recommend them too. They gave me a call during the summer just to see how my CDX and XPS were doing, which I bought from them years ago, which was a nice touch.
