NAC282 AUX2 blanking plug query

A quick query in search of a quick answer. Can you share a picture of the correct blanking plug for the aux2 powered input please? I have the 5 pronged version from upgrade 1, but am unsure if there is a difference as my 282 came without one in the aux2. Apologies if I am being more than usually asinine! Mine looks like this:

It doesn’t have a blanking plug, just a little cover to deter people from connecting to Aux 1 and 2 at the same time. Six minutes. I hope that’s quick enough for you.

Perfecto!

It’s a shame the revamped website doesn’t have downloadable PDFs for products in the support section.

Luckily the Halibot was able to assist.

Mm sarcastic or just no longer in the same place?

Not sarcastic at all, I just hopped onto the current site and navigated to support, entered NAC 282 and got no links. Maybe the new site is just unintuitive.

Apologies. I think its not intuitive as not under support in the way it used to be.

Thanks Bruss. I have a printed copy as well as a pinned digital one. The thing is that the manual doesn’t show what the blanking plug looks like, it just shows where it goes. Does it have metal pins like the ones used for upgrades 1&2? Behind my query is a question as to whether the SQ is supposed to be improved with the blanking plug fitted?

I love what you did there

I had the exact same problem a while ago. Someone else found it for me. Was not intuitive to find.

It’s just a plastic cover. No pins. No impact on SQ. A plastic milk bottle top would do exactly the same thing.

Which milk bottle top would sound better, semi-skimmed or whole?:wink:

Just found it trying again - it’s under a product section listing recent/classic pre-amps.

Wasn’t expecting it to be under 282 in the products section. Wonder why I didn’t see the categories yesterday. Maybe a typo.

YMMV
