Did you check/swap your nd5 network cable?
I’ve checked it. It’s fine, the nd5 works for all other applications, it just isn’t playing nice with the nas.
Other thing to check is your album artwork. Do you keep to a max size of 1000 x 1000 pixels?

The thing to do generally, as it happens to most of us sometimes:
Restart your router, wait , restart your streamer, then delete the app and install it again.
An overly large artwork can cause stutter. If you have the free download mp3tag, you can drag all your music to it, then add the column Cover (I think), then sort on that column to see the largest ones. Nb the stutter will only tend to occur on those large artwork files
