Naim app doesn't like Birtwistle

I just finished ripping and tagging my Dohnanyi box set and decided to dive off the deep end with Harrison Birtwistle’s Earth Dances on my Nova. But - perhaps because it has something against contemporary music - the Naim app wouldn’t play it. It simply reported a work of 0:00 length and did nothing. It also shows the title and artwork for Boulez conducts Ravel.

Note - I said the Naim app. When I tried to play the same piece on my Nova using the JRiver JRemote app the music started up as it should. On the other hand, when I tried playing the work on my QB2, the Naim app still reported a 0:00 length track and did nothing. I tried playing several other works using the Naim app without a problem, including several tracks from the Dohnanyi box set.

It also played through my Wiim streamer using the Wiim app.

I’ve restarted the app several times to no effect.

Any thoughts.

Edit - I reset the app and that seems to have solved it.

First thing I would do is check the size of the artwork, ensuring it’s 1000x1000 or less. If you aren’t sure, try removing the album artwork.

Can you tell us what format the file is, and what you used to rip it and add metadata, as that may help with followup questions.

Also what is the exact name of the file, so we can see if there are any banned characters

As mentioned in my edit, resetting the app fixed things. I should have done that immediately, but I had never encountered the problem, nor had I previously needed to do an app reset for any other reason.
