Hi all - hope everyone’s enjoying the wind down of the last week of ‘summer.’
I’ve got a question / issue with the Naim app - not sure if it’s just me or a design flaw. When I go to Tidal, for example, and search for an artist / album and then play it the only way back to the Naim Home Screen is to basically reverse all the previous steps. Like having to click the ‘back button’ 10 times. Am I missing something here??
You don’t say which version of the Naim app, but in IOS at least you click on the name of the room (or streamer name if you think of it like that) which is at the top of the screen and that takes you straight back to the Rooms screen.
The Home button in the top R corner of the screen takes you back to the home page on iOS. If you’re using Android, from memory I think it’s different, and probably varies between devices, but when I used one a while back there was a back button at the bottom of the screen.
If you have the full sized now playing page open, you need to minimise that first.
And once I tested it playing Springsteen, like all other times, had to click back several times to get back to the main page to put the radio back on. Kill the now playing, go back to the search bar, clear the search, click back, etc.
There are significant differences between the way 1st and 2nd gen streamers work, including how they control streaming playback and how they interact with the app. I haven’t used a 1st gen streamer for a while now, but I’m guessing that might be why you are seeing this difference. I’m sure @davidhendon would know.
