I have an issue with my Atom - I came in the other day and my wife said the screen on the Atom is showing a software update graphic and it as been there all day. The screen had a large graphic right in the centre - not what I normally see when there is a software update. I turned the until off, unplugged it, turned the wall socket off and reconnected. The unit will not start, neither from the front or from the remote. Like all my hifi these items remain static and in situ. Nothing has changed but the until cannot be restarted and obviously it is not accessible from the Naim app on my iPhone.
It is particularly frustrating for my wife as she is the main user and typically has the radio on all day using the Atom.
Any insights would be helpful. Have emailed Naim service but waiting for a response.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Chris.
Turn unit on at wall. Then press and keep holding down the power button for a good 10 to 15 seconds. Might work. Might not. But doesn’t waste too much time trying
-
Firstly unplug any connected speakers and the power cable.
-
Press the Play/ Pause and Input buttons on the front panel while powering up the Uniti Atom.
-
Continue to hold for 5 seconds.
-
Release the Play/ Pause and Input buttons.
-
Wait for the Uniti Atom to complete the factory reset and go into Stand-by.
-
Press the Power button to power up the product.
If the hard reset process explained above fails to work, speak to Naim Support. It may well be that it’s now broken and needs to be fixed.
Hi - Thanks for the replies so far.
I am thinking it is connected with the ‘kettle’ lead end that goes into the back of the Atom. The Atom is never moved but I know there is built in ‘play’. It should not be an issue but wondering if I should check that again - i did check it but because of the play I am quite delicate with it.

Chris.
