Naim Chrome Bumper

Is that an original NAIT against a NAIT 50?

I think so, yes!

Too sad they they are on „display“ only … someday their day will come :blush:

Behold! The £10 rack for your Chrome Bumper kit.

Shown here supporting a NAC 42 and NAT 101 with the SNAPS not quite sitting right as the shorter case can’t reach the cross beams.

Lovely rack! Self made?

It’s actually a wine rack from Ikea which was heading for the charity shop when I had a flash of inspiration.

Standard depth boxes are a perfect fit, I also tried with a Nait and the feet sit just inside the cross beam but I reckon buying another to hack up could produce a shelf with a second pair of beams to support it.

A piece of metal or plastic from front to back underneath, may be another option

Perhaps one of their bamboo chopping boards would make a suitable shelf for the snaps?

Well, this is my IKEA converted rack:

I like the wood look of yours though. The metal look works nice with ibls and sbls.

Sorry for posting Olives on the CB topic :slight_smile:

I like that because I still use my 32.5. I’ve always wondered why the light is red rather than green (or even white)?

The early Naim Preamps had a red diod ,including the integrated Nait.

There was also a cross-over period where you had either/both;
