Our 135s benefit greatly from a service after 6-7 years, so on that basis I’d have the 250 done as well now.
Our 32.5 was on its knees after 16 years without a service (according to Sheila when she ran Naim’s Service Dept.). The hicap needs one after about 8 years too.
I think I may be becoming obsessive. Having seen the what’s inside post I now rarher fancy a nat 101/snaps to complete my old skool cb look.
There doesn’t seem to be any on the usual sites. Were they fairly rare?
I like your thinking. A NAT101 is being offered in the UK on a certain well-known auction site. If I lived in a country that offered even the slightest long-term chance that it would be a viable way to enjoy radio, I would be all over it in a moment. I hasten to add, I have no connection to the seller or the site itself.
CB is a slippery slope and I am squealing all the way. I just wish it would not distract me from putting the funds aside for a 252 or 552.
That nat 01 is a tad pricey though. It also doesn’t have the essential plastic bottle tuning dial :-).
The cb kit is a bit of a bargain though. Hicap/32.5/250 plus service is going to run out around 2400 uk pounds.
The sc/252/250-2 plus service is going to be around 7k !
Just received a NAP110 which needs some attention as the 24V part has exploded…
BDY56, caps from 1979… serial is 0749, seems to be a very old version !
Worth fixing though as the 110 a good amp. It probably looks a lot worse than appears as Ive repaired all manner of dead electrical stuff in the past and it usually looks terrible.
But never got to the cause of the 600Amp breaker that would trip off in the triangle
