At his time, the Micromega Duo was one of the very best CD player! And still it is!
So much nicer to see CB ( and Olive) half sized boxes loved and in regular use than a rack of 5 series. ( IMO)
The simplicity of what is inside these boxes is the real key. Simple, effective and maintainable design.
Red LEDs, is the 140 a converted NAP110.
Lovely.
Itās a NAP140 but with the LED switched to red. Not sure if the Naim Forum police will smash through my windows and arrest me for saying that, but thatās what it is!
Nope, āForum Policeā are stood down, it was a Naim sanctioned mod - plenty of CB half-width kit had the indicator bulbs changed from red to green, or vice versa to match things up one way or other.
Nowadays its not often you see the red LED version especially on three beautiful boxes all together, Iām jealous!
Thatās just wrong
Green is where itās at.
No need to delete Conor. Interesting to see.
Blue LEDs though would be going too farā¦
Very pleased theyā¦ Naimā¦ never used blue LEDsā¦
For me at least, blue LEDs need to be banned (along with any blue LEDs in any public place), perhaps apart from the top of Naim Forum Police Cars!
No offence meantā¦
I have nothing against blue in principle, but for some reason if a LED is way to bright, itās most often a blue one.
Sorry, but football has nothing to do with fine culture. In this respect, those leather ball kickers cannot evaluate which color an LED really should be.
This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the LEDāthe story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the LEDāyou stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all Iām offering is the truth. Nothing more.
And very " on-trend" circa 2003. When blue LEDs started to become more easily available.
I changed all my MF stuff to blue LEDs. Went mad. And yes, I thought the uber hyper bright ones were great. They werenāt.
No blue in my main system now. Although the second system my daughter uses does have blue LEDs.
The thing with blue LEDs that makes my eyes go funny is how tricky they are to focus on, especially from a distance. The Christmassy strings of blue LEDs people have got in their trees and bushes at the moment I find really tricky to focus on from a distance; reds and greens much less so.
I found this explanation of why this should be so quite interesting:

Great photo, Mr T.
How are the micromega players? I like their looks very much.
