Naim Flash

Hello,I have a Naim Flash remote,that I
can’t set up for Tuner, I only see Pre,Rec,CD and Menu, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have had two Naim Flash remotes before and they had the Tuner option visible.

It looks like this one has an early PIC chip installed. Later ones added the Tuner for when the NAT05 arrived, and then the final version had switchable screens for 2 channel and for AV. Older Flash remotes could be updated by fitting a new updated PIC chip.

A year or two back I realised that one of my Flash handsets still had a development Chip installed (I helped out the engineer who developed the 2CH/AV update by testing various versions on my 2 channel and AV systems) and there were some oddities that were annoying. I asked whether there were any PIC chips available to return it to standard but was told that they were all gone now (unsurprising as they were usually done in very small batches). It has been about 15 or more years since the Flash was discontinued, so perhaps not such a surprise.

It means that when buying second-hand Flash you need to know what items it can control as an early example can no longer be updated.
