Naim integrated amps

Good morning!

Since I am running a wiim transport and some kind of an EQ device (right now wiim) the streaming part of the atom is superflous. Selling it would get me a good integrated or i could get a pre/power. Suggestions around 1000 - 2000 EUR 2nd hand!

Interresting in opinions about the poweramp parts of the integrareds compared to stand alones. Right now a nap 100 sits after the atom.

I bought a Nait 50 to go with my Atom and then moved the Atom on for an ND5XS2. Did it make a difference? Yes. Could I live with just the Atom? 100% definitely.

I have a WiiM pro plus and a Nait 50 in my study system. The WiiM is now used as a transport into a Chord Qutest, but was originally used direct into the Nait. It’s a very nice combination provided the Nait works OK with your Gurus which specify 60 wpc or more. Folk on here use the N50 with ATC speakers which are even more demanding, so if your room is not too big and you can manage without a remote it could be worth a try. Alternatively, a Nait XS3 or even XS2 should fit your requirements nicely.

You ge 1800
Eur for the atom and buy the xs2 for 900 here in sweden. For me the atom is great but i miss power. Right now it frives a nap 100 which has been pushed to thermal cut off ar times

Need more power than the NAIT 50 and I want a remote :-). So XS2 is the likely path. How does the poweramp section stack up against separates?

Try a Nap 155, 200, maybe a 160 or 180 - not very expensive solutions.

Maybe you have a large room or difficult loudspeakers ?, then an old Nap 250 could be a solution.

If it were me I’d be looking at SuperNait 2. On paper it’s not that much more powerful than a Nait XS2, but it certainly sounds much more heavyweight.

Thanks. Can the poweramp parts of the integrated be slotted in with the separates? Just for reference?

Yes, so long as the integrated is not a Nait 5i, Nait 5i or Nait 5si.

(Assumption here is that nothing earlier than Nait 5 is being considered.)

Was unclear. Looking for a rating of the poweramp sections (eg supernait =
Nap 180 etc)

Naim ratings are usually conservative, confusing or misleading.

I had my Nait 3 up against a friends 200W Rotel, the little Nait won big time.

Don’t buy based on paper specs.
