Hi,
I have had the Naim muso 2 for about two months. In that time it has locked up (App wont open using Android 12 or using the remote control) LED just flashes until you select standby. This is now happening every morning I try to listen to music - really annoying and not what I expect of Naim,
Secondly I have had the spinning wheel lock up twice. Only disconnecting from the Mains will cure either problem.
I never had any problems with my Nait 1 and very disappointed with Muso 2. Any suggestions would be grateful ā¦
Is it on firmware 4.3.2?
Have you performed a factory reset?
Plus reinstalled the Naim app?
My muso 2 often does the same. The only answer is to power cycle. Youll hear others talk about wifi issues, mesh, blah, blah, blah, but my ndx2 is also connected via wifi, in the same room and is rock solid.
have Firmware is 4,3.2, have uninstalled and re-installed the Naim App.
I will do the factory reset and let you know Monday
Seems really poor for a Naim (or any) product.
I had to replace my separates and assumed that the Muso 2 would be reliable as well as sound nice. I only want to listen to music and not have to be reaching a tucked away on off switch!
And for me but hard wired. Had to do it this morning. Typically get a ādevice not respondingā message.
Sounds familiar!
I had the Muso-qb and that kept happening with me. In the end, I sold it on as it was just too much hassle.

I think thats all you could do. If this keeps happening Naim should reimburse you fully rather than having to lose money when its not your fault. This is not on Naim its a high end product not a cheap import.
Hello again,
as promised I have tried a factory reset and this has caused problems I cant resolve I am not even sure the reset went through.
Now I have the wheel light on and flashing purple LED.
I have tried removing power for anything from 2 mins, 10mins, 15mins to leaving it overnight. I have pushed the Reset switch for 2 sec, 6 sec, 15 sec, 25 secs with all of these the LED goes white for a while then briefly red and back to wheel lit and flashing purple LED. App does nothing - the usual trying to connect, THe Remote brings the unit on with the wheel lit/ purple flashing mode and will switch it to standby.
I am now desperate for assistance.
You seem to have done everything you could reasonably do. As itās only two months old itās under guarantee and now seems the time to speak with your supplying dealer. It may well be that you get a replacement.
I would hope perhaps naively Naim should fix it. However John Lewis is my next call for my money back.
Iām sure Naim would fix it. But it will be much quicker to just get a new one. Donāt think that all mu-sos have problems. I have two of the original Qbs and a Qb2 and they work happily, day in, day out.
Thats good to know. Many thanks. I really want it to work - it does sound good.
They are really good things and itās most upsetting when things go wrong. John Lewis are usually very good so hopefully will swap it for a new one.
Im waiting for Naim to respond (last chance saloon). Like you say JL are good.
JL will sort you out. As mentioned my muso 2 ( fancy wood one) spent a month on vacation in Salisbury last year. Fixed immediate issue of the wifi/internet not working, but still requires power cycle about once a month to wake it up
Purple flashing = WiFi setup mode
Which means itās waiting for you to complete setup in the Naim app.
Can you wire it via Ethernet to your router? Even if you have to move it somewhere else temporarily?
Then see if the app finds it.
I have since called Naimās technical support and very quickly got the muso 2 working again. I was advised what to monitor within the app when this happens again. Naim can then look deeper into the error codes and find out the cause. Apparently my ongoing problems fall into a āgrey areaā and the feedback info they get will give them more insight. My call was answered quickly and the engineer was knowledgeable. watch this space ā¦
And again. For the first time no white light after repowering - prolonged blue instead, so had to do a reset.
