Hi Folks,
I just couldn’t get on with the Spotify UI and it default setting of auto with everything that matters to me being greyed out. The workaround was to cumbersome.
After much research I discovered the paid for one off Bubble uPnP app all of £4.50p one of cost and Tidal Music. If you open Bubble and choose your Muso as the ‘renderer’, you can click of the Tidal button within Bubble which takes you to Tidal website to purchase a subscription and set all the settings with nothing greyed out.![]()
If like me you have had a previous tidal subscription, all your saved Stuff shows up in Bubble. The clever bit is that even with the Muso I, if you have the Bubble app open and click on the uPnP button then the Tidal button in the Naim app you see everything in there that is in The Tidal app. You can even create your own tidal user playlists from within the Naim App which are automatically saved to the Tidal app. I created one this evening for barrel organ music.![]()
You do need to keep the Bubble and Naim app open together, for it to work; Bubble acting as a bridge maybe? But you only have to open the Tidal app open now and then to keep it active. I have audio set to cd quality so as not to blow out care home router, never heard it so
