Naim Naim NS01 (HDX / UnitiServe / NaimServer)

I own a Naim NS01 (HDX / UnitiServe / NaimServer series) device and some time ago it stopped working HDD. I replaced it with a new one, but it is obvious that the OS is missing to bring the device back to life.
How do I get the ISO file to install and recover the Naim NS01.

In the past Naim would not release the software so you had to send the device to them. You would need to ask Naim service dept or your local Naim agent what the situation is now.

As Chris advises above, it has to be done at the Naim factory so contact your dealer or local distributor.

If you like the NS/HDX series, see if you can get your NS01 updated to an SSD. It will be more reliable and flexible in the long haul.

Yes , I want to updated to an SSD , so how much cost this.

You should contact your Naim dealer who can get a price for you to have this done at the factory.

I’m pretty sure Naim no longer have the components for this repair. It’s apparently not as simple as just sticking in a new drive and loading up the OS, so realistically I think the chances of a repair being possible are slim.

Perhaps @NeilS can let us know whether it’s still something they can do at the factory.

Unfortunately he already has…..

Ah yes, I’d quite forgotten, thanks Chris for the reminder.

My understanding is that certain local distributors/authorized service centers will do this. They obviously don’t use an SLC SSD but this is no longer the concern it was when the HDX SSD was first released 15 years ago.
