Naim Nait XS-2 problem

Hi, I have problem with my Naim Nait XS-2. Audio input/outputs do not work. The power amplifier (main bypass) is OK. It was probably caused by connecting the DIN and RCA inputs at the same time. Has anyone had such a problem, does anyone know what electronic chip/part is responsible for it. Is the repair could be expensive? Thanks

Hi,

Does the headphone output still function ok?

Have you tried powering down the unit, leaving for ten minutes, disconnecting all cables and reconnecting them, then powering back up again?

The Nait XS2 has an optional power supply and to use it without the PS requires a plug to be fitted to complete the circuit. You might check the manual.

If you are concerned that you may have damaged the amp (do first check you have the link plug fitted, as per Skip’s post above) then I would recommend you ask your Naim dealer to take a look.
