I think its safer to say the 102 is different to the 72.

Personally… I like the 72 - and I love the 82. I had a 102… Need I say more…?

The 102 is perfect for folk who love hifi and remote controls.
The 72 is generally preferable to music lovers :slightly_smiling_face:

Going from a Nait XS to a 72 I thought I’d miss a remote but can’t say its bothered me. The quality of the 72/180 over the XS more than makes up for a very slight inconvenience.

I am putting together an olive system, for now I have bought the nap140 and the CDX, only the preamplifier is missing and I would like to have a remote control. very important thing is the quality of the phono input

82, then…?

Beat me to it :joy::joy:

but I would like to avoid the additional power supply because strangely in my house the hicaps are buzzing (I’ve tried everything but they keep buzzing)

Only correct answer. :+1:

An 82 will run with a 140, but does need its NAPSC.
Which is not very big… :slightly_smiling_face:

The ‘best’ pre otherwise, is a 72… But no remote.

sorry, i use google translate

A 52 is the best olive pre and has no hicap or NAPSC…

Alternatively, get a serviced 72

Dammit @Debs , I have the 102 but I’m also a music lover, just never had access to a 72 :joy: maybe one day…

The 82 only needs a NAPSC along with a 140 and is better than a 102

seeing the prices of the 52 I think I will take a 72 and give up the remote control
