Is the flickering constant or does it refuse to stay on when you press the button? In the latter case it could be the button not coming fully out, the cure for this is to hold it in and slide your finger off so it springs back suddenly, and this should let it come fully out to reset the latch, it might take a few tries,
If it’s constant flickering then a return for repair is in order and the first port of call for that with Naim is your dealer but first try swapping the fuse for the spare that should be with it in the holder if Naim have followed their normal practice. A bit of a long shot this one but you never know.
when i’m turning on the ps, instead of turning on, the light bulb (on the ps button) refuses to turn on permanently, and the TT remains off.
My technician suggest me to confirm with other Solstice owner (in order to attribute the problem to one of the parts of the turntable package) if: Will turning on the power supply separately for the turntable package (when the power supply is not connected to the turntable and the NVC), cause it to flash? If so, then the problem is most likely not with the ps device.
On this occasion, could I ask the owners of the Solstice TT here on the forum to perform this test?
Richard? maybe you can help by asking Naim to do so…I would really appreciate it!
The device was delivered to the company representative here in Israel, and after two months of the device lying there without any attention or attempt to make an effort to fix it, their answer was that they were not familiar with the problem and did not know how to handle it. By the way, sending the device to Naim would have cost me almost half the cost of a new device! So I decided to give up and was left helpless.
I have noticed that mine flickers, however it doesn’t go completely off, it goes dim and then bright and this happens whether it’s running or not. It has not altered the performance, i hope this isn’t problem.
It’s hard to give you a positive conclusive result. I removed all the plugs and it hardly flickered in the 10 minutes i was looking at it, but it did seem to flicker more when they were plugged in (it might be just a coincidence). I’ve only just noticed now that when i turned it on with nothing connected to it it does go dimmer and then brighter when it’s off.
