Does anyone know if its possible to use the DIGITAL INPUTS on the BACK of the NAIM UNITI HE unit to be able to play MUSIC Blu Ray Discs from classic rock albums (Example, new Pink Floyd “Wish You Were Here” comes with a Blu Ray Music disc. I have tried and can only get the music from the MENU played over and over again. HELP
You’ll probably find that your Blu-ray player will restrict what is outputted via the s/pdif digital audio output, or else is trying to output a multichannel signal, which cannot be decoded by the (2 channel PCM) DAC of the Uniti Atom HE. See what options are available via the Blu-ray player’s menus.
Check the manual for your Blu-ray player. You may be able to change the digital output to 2ch PCM. Or not! My Denon DBT-3313 has two digital outputs but they are both HDMI. One is for multi channel and the other for pcm stereo unfortunately that needs a hdmi/spdif adapter to plug into a dac. I just use the RCa analogue outs which is fine as the dac in the player is pretty good. Just use the analogue rca outs assuming you have them.
