Hi, I have an issue with the Naim App connecting to my uniti 1st generation (upgraded board). My ISP is Community Fibre in the UK and I added a mesh to the main router. The uniti is connected to the mesh via ethernet cable. When I am close to the mesh connected to the uniti, my naim app shows the uniti, if I am closer to the reuter my phone is not connected via wifi to the mesh and the uniti does not appear on the list of devices on the app. Any idea how to solve this?
I also own a Muso and this appears all the time on the naim app, which is a different behaviour.
Yes, I am connecting to the main router via wifi as well. I restarted the mesh and the Naim app is now showing the uniti all around the house. Fingers crossed this will stay as is now!
As Xanthe has posted, you need to make sure you don’t have conflicts between the existing router and the mesh system. The best way to do this is:
Router; dhcp on, WiFi off
Mesh; dhcp off, WiFi on (which is why you installed mesh WiFi!)
That will ensure that connecting on your phone will always connect to the one WiFi / house network. Plus it ensures that, regardless of using WiFi or a wired connection with your Naim streamers, it’s just one network delivered by the router.
