I am using the AV bypass switch on the back of my Naim XS3 and have connected my speakers to it instead of connecting it to my Anthem AV amp. I am using the pre out of my Anthem Av amp to the AV input of my XS3.
So far so good. The XS3 is now fixed as power amp and has fixed volume. It all works well and sounds good.
But when I use the rc to switch to the streaming input the rc doesn’t work. Even when I walk to my XS3 and switch it manually it doesn’t work, no volume up ir down, no input switching possible. Well, it sends an infrared signal I can see with the camera of my phone, but my XS3 does not receive anything.
Why? Is it just the AV switch at the back and thus the using of AV bypass why the rc suddenly stops working?
