A HicapDR would be better. Still, don’t underestimate the advantage of a Hicap of any vintage. You would be replacing the built in DR preamp PSU with a non-DR one, but it’s a big meaty one, dual rail, with the advantage of being separated in its own box.
Having said that, you should listen and decide for yourself as always. Not everybody prefers the Supernait with a Hicap, and you won’t know which camp you fall into without a demo.
