I just ordered the new amp with the awesome AV bypass. I am planing to connect my Auralic Streamer to the AV In and use the bypass, so I can use the Streamer as pre amp. What is your opinion on this?
Always worth trying , I experimented using Av bypass with my Lumin and Xs2 and made a huge difference
I am imagining no HiCap needed in av bypass mode, because the preamp is not used. So more power available to the power amp.
So … I tried it and it sux. Auralic directly in AV and bypass on, sounds lame. Going through the preamp and connecting the sub to the sub outs of the nait seems to be the best option.
