NAP 150 to NAC 122x

Hello everybody, I am looking for some help. I am new to the NAIM universe and have only found an answer from ai. Which i am not going to trust. I havr Linn Saras and so it was only time before i got a NAIM. Last year i bought a NAP 150 and found it similar to my PS audio 2c plus. I read that a NAC 122x would improve it. Being new to NAIM i did not do enough reaearch in connecting the 2. So i have a NAC 122x with a standard and an upgrade connection, both have 5 din pins. My NAP 150 only has a 4 pin din. I would rather not buy a Flatcap until i try out this combo. But after a lot of searching i cant find anything i would consider definitive on if i can connect the 2 without a flatcap. Is it possible? Do i just need to huny down the elusive NAIM 4din to 5din cable?

Thanks for any help and sorry if this has been answered i tried looking on the forums.

Yes, you can connect the NAC122x to the NAP150 directly as the NAP150 has a basic onboard pre-amp supply. You just need the SNAIC4 and for the NAC122x to have the 5 pin DIN link plug fitted.

The cable you need is a Snaic 4, with 4 pins each end. It should have been in the box with your 150.

With Saras you really want a NAP250. A little 150 doesn’t have much of a chance of driving them properly.

Thanks! I just did not want to mess it all up!

What HH says.

Thats what i have read, but i dont have nap250 money. Some people have felt that the 150 does an adequate job. At least i can maybe get an idea if i want to gp the 250 route eventually.
