NAS issue after firmware update 3.13

Good evening everyone,
Following the 3.13 firmware update on my Naim ND5 XS 2, my NAS no longer shows up. I followed the procedure to restart everything—router, switch, NAS, and Naim—but there is still no connection. On the NAS, the player appears correctly with the appropriate DLNA permissions; I can see its IP address, etc.
I didn’t have any issues before this. I restarted the media server on my QNAP NAS, but that didn’t help.
If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks in advance.

I also have an ND5XS2 and a QNAP NAS, but no issues. Could it be an app issue i.s.o. a streamer issue? Maybe reset or re-install the app?

Good evening, thanks for the reply. You’re suggesting I reinstall the firmware, right? I’ve already tried reinstalling the app on my smartphone, but nothing changed. I was thinking of either resetting the player or, as you suggested, reinstalling the firmware.

It might be worth downloading VLC to your phone and see if that app can see your NAS. If so, it looks like the issue is with your streamer and resetting is probably the next step.

Hello.

VLC does indeed detect my NAS.

I reset the streamer using the pinhole button on the back, but since then, I haven’t been able to restart it. I left it unplugged overnight and turned it back on, but nothing works. I think it’s frozen…

I suppose it’s going back to Naim.

After the factory reset, you have to add the streamer in the app. Is the streamer not visible in the app when you try to add it?

The problem is that I can’t restart the streamer; the on/off button is green, but the one on the left is off, and when I try to add a device in the app, it just keeps looping without finding anything.

Try long pressing the on/off button (more than 3 seconds) and than press the on/off button again after a few seconds. It’s a wild guess, but if the LED to the left of the on/off button is not illuminated at all, it does not sound good.

Good evening! Well, with the help of Naim support, I managed to get it restarted!
However, it still doesn’t see my QNAP NAS, even though it shows up fine in the QNAP media stream…
I don’t get it.

Are you using Asset or similar. Check they are active on the QNAP, maybe …
