Perhaps a naive query or two -
when two power supplies are on the ND 555 what function is each supply giving power to, and, when using the BNC digital out is the advantage of having two supplies being negated in some way?
I’m really trying to knock this back up to the top for you since I can only answer your first question: one PS powers the digital components, the other the analogue components,. so you could well be right about no prupose if you only use BNC. The question would, I suppose, be why?
I guess Naim would comment that splitting a 555 ps across digital and analog is a greater drain. So two power supplies even if the digital is only being used, would still benefit from more power, greater stability.
