The CD555 is making full use of the two Burndy connections from the 555PS, unlike the CDS3, even with the 555PS, can only utilise a single Burndy connection.

XPSDR has only 3 DR boards and much smaller capacitors in a far simpler layout. ±22, ±10 and 2x15V outputs.
555PSDR has 6 DR boards supplying the outputs above plus an additional board for 12V CD555 clock output.
Obvious external difference is XPSDR has only one burndy socket whereas 555 has two.
