NDS Firmware 4.9 update failed at last step

My NDS became unlistenable after the update. Bright and distorted😖

I don’t doubt you hear what you hear, my NDX has a slight change for the better in definition.

But DSP firmware is unchanged in 4.9 and going back to the beta testing days when we were fine tuning sound, it was changes in DSP firmweare that did this.
4.9 release DSP is 2.56 and my records show it was the same in 4.6.

Maybe @Stevesky can comment of these reported sound changes.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago … all went well once I found a computer to work and all the right cables. It did sound brighter initially but I’ve either got used to it or it’s mellowed.
