I hope this is not going over ground all ready raised. But carried out search and nothing found about this issue.
Have not used Core in a while, but added a few audio files today. Then noticed that the display for the track being played does not indicate 24 bit or 16 bit anymore!
Instead for my CD ripped audio (FLAC) it indicates 44Khz 44Kb/s and for instance a 24bit 96khz file it indicates 96khz 96Kb/s (from memory)
Regarding the CD quality (new display) this would seem to indicate a very compressed file even though FLAC is lossless.
Why have Naim changed the data display to what would seem a rather confusing state.
Obviously the tracks still indicate 16 Bit or 24 Bit at the DAC.
You are the only responder to this, not sure why. Perhaps its because I am in the minority, using an Android Tablet. Do you use an Android device for Core?
Do you know when this display changed?
Due to lack of response from the Forum about this issue, I have raised the it with Naim Support.
My device is also a Samsung (Tablet), coincidence?
Having been in touch with Naim Support and their team progress it to the software section. “This issue is known about and are working towards a solution. This will be released as part of the update schedule for the Focal & Naim App, in due course”.
