CD on Naim Records, there are massive rumours that Naim will re-release this on cd and Hi-Res at 04:30am(BST) on the 21st June they have already started an advertising campaign called a New Dawn for Music.

According to rumours cirulating around CERN, Naim are releasing a new top end system, rather than call it the Statement 2 that have decided that because it will cost so much they will call it the “Black Hole”. This is because once you have heard it, your money will disaappear over the event horizon and never been seen again. There are also suggestions that Brian Cox has been lured from his BBC bunker and will be heading the press conference.

this would make a lot of sense product marketing wise - and aligns with the focal/naim stores.
I’m anticipating an acoustically optimised isolated listening room, supplied as a prefabricated outhouse - ready to be assembled in your garden (and decoupled from the Earth by mag-lev - or suspended from skyhooks).
Alternatively, Naim will give up the endless pursuit of perfect sound reproduction and sell you an orchestra instead…

Yamaha actually sell rooms like that - or they used to; I saw them on a trip to their Japanese HQ back in the day! They’re mostly sold to musicians wanting to be able to play their instruments without disturbing the neighbours, but they did have some people using them as music dens.

It’s a new dac/ streamer with built in volume control .
Naim need a device like this along with a top end integrated amp.
But let’s hope its something good.
